This training course introduces the structural components of laboratory quality management system based on the framework of ISO/IEC 17025. Participants will learn about the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
This training course is useful for laboratory staff who is involved in the operation of a calibration or testing laboratory that requires an understanding of the ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system. After this course, the participants will be familiar with the requirements of the international standard and know how to implement the quality management system efficiently.
Dr. Chua Sze Wey is a Principal Metrologist in the Electrical Metrology Lab of National Metrology Centre (NMC), A*STAR. His main area of expertise is in the field of electrical metrology. He has been involved in the development, maintenance, and dissemination of electrical measurement standards for more than 23 years. Sze Wey is also involved in accreditation and standardisation activities, and has been a technical assessor for the Singapore Accreditation Council-Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS) since 1992. He has also served as a technical peer reviewer for many overseas national metrology institutes, conducting assessments in accordance to the CIPM MRA’s ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system implementation requirements.

Course Fee & Registration
The course fee is $780.00. To register for the course, please send the signed registration form
to firstname.lastname@example.org two weeks before the course date.
Due to the limited number of places, acceptance of registration will be
based on a first-come-first-served basis. All successful registrants
will be informed.
Mode of Payment
Payment is required on registration confirmation. Crossed cheques should be made payable to “SCEI-NMC”. Payment can also be made by credit card and NETS.
If a registrant is unable to attend, another candidate may replace
him/her. A 50% refund will be made only for withdrawals received in
writing at least five days before the commencement of the course. If a
registrant is unable to attend the course due to sickness, medical
certificate needs to be submitted to NMC before a refund can be
granted. NMC reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course. In
the event of cancellation, registration fees will be refunded in full.
