E-Invitation ]

More than 40 participants from marine, oil and gas industries including manufacturers of flow meters, MPA, SPRING, and accredited laboratories participated in the seminar on “Metrology for LNG Trading” organised by NMC. The invited guest speaker, Mr Oswin Kerkhof, presented on measurement issues involved in LNG trading, and a three-year research project under the European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP) to address the technological challenges. Measurement technologies developed from the project would provide useful inputs to subsequent development of international documentary standards and guidelines for LNG custody transfers. Mr Kerkhof is currently the Project Manager for LNG and Deputy Manager of R&D Department, National Metrology Institute of the Netherlands.

Mr Oswin Kerkhof gave his presentation on the seminar

NMC is currently developing mass flow measurement technology for metering of bunker fuels using Coriolis flow meters, and will keep in view the needs of the industry in LNG.
