Research Overview

The functional metabolism group’s core mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the profound effects on core metabolism caused by genetic mutations and tissue microenvironment alterations in metabolic diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart failure, and the application of that knowledge to create novel therapeutic approaches. Research and development of novel biomolecule probes using the hyperpolarized carbon-13 technology is our core competency and the Group partners with local and international institutes to achieve research excellence and favorable outcomes.
