The article was authored by a scientist from SBIC, Sandhya Sriram, who is also the co-founder and Director of the media startup, biotechin.asia, Biotech Media Pte. Ltd. Sandhya Sriram currently works as a Research Fellow in the Functional Metabolism and Stem Cell Group, Laboratory of Metabolic Medicine at SBIC.

S. Dinish co-edited a book titled “'Frontiers in Biophotonics for Translational Medicine”. The book was published by Springer on 4 July 2015.
