Translational Cardiovascular Imaging Group

Research Overview

Translational Cardiovascular Imaging Group (TCIG) focuses on developing translational molecular imaging strategies aimed at improving selection of high-risk patients for prophylactic intervention, paving the way for personalized management of cardiovascular diseases.

Research Interests

  • development of molecular imaging strategies to visualize and characterize the underlying biological processes in cardiovascular diseases (carotid atherosclerotic plaques, intracranial plaques and coronary plaques) and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
  • development of theranostic strategies for targeted imaging and inhibition of atherosclerotic plaque inflammation in cardiovascular diseases.
  • development of molecular imaging strategies to visualize and track drug delivery from balloon angioplasty or stent graft to vascular pathologies.
