Evelyn Loo Xiu LING
Evelyn obtained a Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the National University of Singapore, upon which she continued with her PhD studies in the allergy, asthma and immunology laboratory under Department of Pediatrics. Evelyn's PhD project is in the field of immunology where she constructed DNA vaccines and worked on increasing the efficacy of DNA vaccines for allergic diseases. After obtaining her doctorate, Evelyn's first post-doctoral fellow training was at National University of Singapore where she studied the epidemiology of allergic diseases in children. Now she has joined SICS as a research fellow to continue her research on the epidemiology of child's health in the GUSTO cohort.
Her work revolves around the study of epidemiology of child's health, focusing on allergic diseases. She hopes that her research will be useful in the implementation of strategies to prevent childhood diseases.
