Izzuddin Bin Mohd ARIS
Izzuddin did his undergraduate studies in NUS (2006-2010), majoring in Biomedical Sciences, of which he spent 1-year researching on Hepatitis B virus and hepatocellular carcinoma at National Cancer Centre Singapore. He proceeded on to pursue his PhD studies (2011-2015) under DeVOS, researching on the determinants of growth and body composition in Singaporean children enrolled in the Growing Up In Singapore Towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) birth cohort. Upon completing his PhD studies in 2015, he joined SICS as a Research Fellow, continuing and following up on his work with GUSTO, with a specific focus on growth and body composition in children.
His research interests are on the epidemiology of metabolic diseases, and developmental origins of growth, adiposity and metabolic diseases in Asian populations.
