Lai Jun Shi
Jun Shi completed her Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics, and subsequently obtained her Master’s and PhD in Clinical Epidemiology with the University of Newcastle, Australia. She spent her time during PhD examining the relationship between diet quality, carotenoids and fatty acids and depressive symptoms among populations of over 50 years of age. Aside from her studies, she also worked as a Research Assistant whereby she helped with the implementation of various public health research projects. Upon completion of her PhD, she relocated to Singapore to pursue her career interests and worked as a Research Fellow with SICS, A*Star since June 2016.
Her research interest is in understanding the role of dietary factors and nutrient biomarkers during pregnancy in relation to gestational diabetes mellitus.
