TECHNOLOGY FOR ADOPTION
The Centre will be a front for industry engagement with SIMTech's technologies; and several initiatives will be rolled out for different segments of the industries tackling different precision engineering issues.

Platform Technology on Large Format 3D Printing with Laser Aided Additive Manufacturing (LAAM)
The LAAM technology utilises high energy laser beam for material deposition which enables 3D additive manufacturing, surface modification and repair with high flexibility. LAAM can achieve good mechanical properties, wear and corrosion resistance. The adoption of this technology allows companies to explore new applications and business opportunities.

Platform Technology on SIMTech SECS/GEM in High Speed Message Service
Manufacturers require their plant manufacturing equipment to communicate using the SECS/GEM connectivity standards.
SIMTech SECS/GEM in HSMS-SS (High Speed Message Service – Single Session) is the software platform that enables any equipment with SECS/GEM to perform data communication between Host and equipment over TCP line. This is done by utilising both the configurable lookup table and socket base messages services.
