PE COI Annual Conference 2019, organised by A*STAR’s Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) in collaboration with Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA), will be held on 8 May 2019.
The theme for this year’s conference is PE COI: Beyond 10 Years Supporting the PE Industry – on Internationalisation to help PE companies understand the needs and challenges when undertaking international business operations. There are various factors which make internationalisation a very complex and challenging process. Some important factors include uncertainty in international markets and the high degree of operational flexibility required. On top of these, any company that wishes to break into a new overseas market will have to face strong competition against the country’s local market and conditions. To gain competitive advantage over any business competitor, one should strive towards innovation to differentiate its products and services.
To help you learn more about how PE companies can leverage on the existing PE ITM, the conference is divided four sessions, with each session aligning to topics specific to a PE ITM pillar - Innovation, Productivity, Jobs and Skills, and Internationalisation. The conference has also invited Mr Kenichi Inoue, General Manager of Global Research & Innovative Technology Center (GRIT), Hitachi Metals to share the full scope of the advanced metal powder opportunities and the manufacturing technologies in the application space of a wide variety of industries. This is an unique opportunity for companies who are keen to explore the commercial potential offered by advanced metal powder technology for high value-added high-demanding applications.
Other than hearing from Hitachi Metals, you also will get to learn more about other companies and their success in business multinationalism at this conference. SPETA will also be giving out awards and appreciation letters to companies in recognition of their effort and commitment in supporting the PE ITM roadmap by taking on higher value-added activities to form the foundation for the next manufacturing era.
Join us at the conference to form new business contacts, explore new business partnerships with both local and overseas industry leaders, learn more about the PE ITM, and how your company can make use of the resources available to internationalise your business.
