Swiss-Singapore Workshop on Microfluidics 2012

Date: 10 Oct 2012 - 11 Oct 2012

Venue: SIMTech Auditorium, Tower Block, Level 3

Dear Industry Partners and Researchers

You are cordially invited to attend the Swiss-Singapore Workshop on Microfluidics: Start up with SIMTech Microfluidics Foundry to be held on Wednesday, 10 October 2012. The event is jointly organised by the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique SA (CSEM), Switzerland and swissnex Singapore.

This workshop is targeted at researchers and industry practitioners involved in medical diagnostics, chemical synthesis and drug delivery or others who are active or interested in microfluidics related research and applications, and intend to transfer microfluidics technology from laboratory concepts and prototypes to the market place. From this workshop, you will gain insights into the latest trends, market needs and technologies in microfluidics and new product concepts which are being developed by techno-entrepreneurs from Singapore, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

At the workshop, we will also launch the SIMTech Microfluidics Membership (SMM). This is to provide a microfluidics industrialisation platform for start-ups and research groups which are developing microfluidic products and moving towards commercialisation. In this event, you will find out more on how you can make use of this platform to speed up your microfluidic development.

This workshop is free of charge and is also qualified for 7 PDUs (Professional Development Units) by PEB (Professional Engineers Board).

In addition, on 11 October 2012, a Round Table Discussion will be held for members of SIMTech Microfluidics and invited guests. Please refer to Annex A for details of the workshop programme.
