The PE COI Annual Conference provides an invaluable opportunity for SMEs in Singapore to explore business partnerships with leading manufacturers in the oil and gas, aerospace, medtech and complex equipment sectors- particularly with the rapid localisation of the manufacturing activities in this high growth region. Local companies will gain a deeper insight on the trends, gaps and strategies involved so that capabilities development consortia can be cost-effectively formed with the support from A*STAR, SIMTech, SPRING Singapore, EDB, IE Singapore, SPETA, SIAA, SSEA, SBF and PE COI. At the conference, MNCs will share some of the key localisation requirements and provide case studies.
The PE COI initiatives will be shared to generate awareness of some of the key capabilities required to enable local companies to confidently undertake higher precision and higher value manufacturing activities to meet stringent performance requirements. Specific company-led "by-invitation" roundtable discussions will be arranged and technological capability development consortia will be formed to retain Singapore’s position in these key areas.
Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to spur research and development collaboration between local business communities and SIMTech. The MOU calls for both parties to jointly promote industrial co-operation and technological enhancement to increase the competitiveness of Singapore's manufacturing industry. Leveraging on SBF's extensive network, SIMTech will be able to foster links with SBF member companies who are seeking advanced and cost-effective manufacturing technologies. In turn, SBF members will also gain access to SIMTech's high value manufacturing technologies, training and mentorship programmes.
Do register early to participate in the growing industry sectors for your company’s sustainable future.
