Date: 08 Jun 2009 - 08 Jun 2009

Venue: The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Singapore, 5 Jalan Kilang Barat, #06-03 Petro Centre, Singapore 159349

Introduction
Vehicle routing and scheduling has received much attention from both the scientific community and industry due to its vital role in transportation and distribution systems. Recent advances in ICT (Information Telecommunications Technologies) has accelerated the development of solutions to address the dynamic vehicle routing problems (DVRP). Participants will gain a clear understanding of tracking technologies and the software associated with vehicle routing and fleet management systems for a variety of transport needs. Key topics include remote real-time multiple vehicle tracking and monitoring, operation of GPS-GIS linked digital maps for vehicle tracking, vehicle routing and control of vehicle fleet and cargo, opportunities for cost reduction and reduction of fleet size. This seminar is jointly organised by StarG3 Technologies, SIMTech, Nanyang Technological University and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
