Technology Infusion Programme: Techniques for Improving Supply Chain Performance

This course will cover not only high-level supply chain strategy and concepts, but also provide an understanding of analytic methodologies for supply chain analysis. Three objectives will be achieved through the course:
1.To provide an understanding of the strategic importance of good supply chain
design, planning, and operation for every firm. The participants will be able to
understand how good supply chain management can be a competitive
advantage, whereas weaknesses in the supply chain can hurt the
performance of a firm.
2. To introduce key drivers of supply chain performance and convey how these
drivers may be used on a conceptual and practical level during supply chain
design, planning, and operation to improve performance.
3. To give participants an understanding of analytic methodologies for supply
chain analysis to solve supply chain problems.
The course will focus on Supply chain network design, Distribution network
and Inventory Management, Sourcing decision, Information technology &
Coordination in a supply chain and so on. Many cases study will be used
to illustrate the concepts and methodologies. Hands-on sessions will also
be included in order for participants to fully understand the impact of
supply chain management to a firm's performance.
