Seminar on Quick and Easy Connection to your Business

Date: 22 May 2007 - 22 May 2007

Venue: IDA Multi-purpose Hall, 8 Temasek Boulevard, #14-00 Suntec Tower 3

This seminar provides an insight of how companies can embrace e-business to establish business processes that link with their key business partners. The ability to exchange business documents electronically using computers is imperative in order to achieve process integration. In this seminar, the speakers will present a business scenario to explain how a manufacturing company can integrate their purchasing process to their suppliers’ business processes easily using a Business-to-Business (B2B) gateway. It will show how suppliers can response quickly to changing demand of customers. The business scenario also explains how manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners can work in an integrative manner.

Who Should Attend
This seminar is organised for especially for SMEs. SMEs, especially those in the lower levels of the supply chain hierarchy, are usually unable to fully participate in B2Bi collaborations as these typically require high levels of Information Technology know-how and hefty costs. For example, SMEs usually cannot afford costly B2Bi systems, resulting in lost business opportunities. Through this seminar, the attendees are able to learn how they can implement cost effective business-to-business solutions that will enhance their organisation supply chain management. The solution proposed is easy to deploy and cost effective.
There will be also a representative from Spring Singapore to explain programmes designed to help companies enhance their capabilities and stay competitive in the new economy. This funding may be applicable for companies who wish to adopt this technology.
