SIMTech Open House 2007

Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), formerly known as Gintic Institute of Manufacturing Technology, is a research institutes of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Its mission is to develop high value manufacturing technology and human capital to enhance the competitiveness of Singapore's manufacturing industry. The R&D areas in SIMTech cover all aspects of manufacturing technologies including process technologies, automation technologies, precision measurement technologies, and industrial informatics technologies.

The open house aims to provide the students the opportunities to gain first-hand knowledge about the research environment and the technologies under development in SIMTech. The presentations and lab tours in the open house also enables the students to interact with the researchers directly about emerging technological areas that they are interested in.


Who Should Attend

Students who have interests in pursuing an R&D career; students who are interested in applying for A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (AGS); students who are interested in exposure to R&D in their attachment programs; and university professors and researchers who are interested to explore opportunities for collaborative research with SIMTech.
