Optical Thin Film Technology

Date: 27 Nov 2006 - 27 Nov 2006

Venue: Auditorium, Level 3, SIMTech Tower Block, 71 Nanyang Drive

The demand for optical thin films and coatings has grown rapidly in the last decade, covering a broad scope ranging from optical functions to surface protection. Various new technologies including novel designs, new materials and deposition processes and evaluation methods have been developed for improving product quality or optical performance, or for adding additional functions. As plastic substrate materials become more widely used, new business opportunities may surface. These would bring about new technological challenges, thus calling for solutions from both the industry and R&D community.

The objective of this half-day seminar is to bring together relevant coating process developers, equipment developers, surface inspection experts, coating service providers and end-users to share and exchange information as well as to interact for exploration of potential collaborations. The seminar will provide the participants with the latest technology progresses and trends in various aspects related to optical coatings.
