ET21 Forum - Emerging Technologies and Trends in Equipment Design and Manufacturing
Date: 18 Mar 2004 - 18 Mar 2004
Venue: The Gallery, Level 2, Traders Hotel
Singapore-based equipment manufacturers are facing stiff competition as manufacturing businesses globalise and lower value equipment making activities migrate to neighbouring countries. This trend is exacerbated by the fact that manufacturers want to be close to the market, and lower-tier manufacturers/suppliers are tending to follow these higher tier organisations. Hence, Singapore’s equipment sector is re-positioning itself to meet this challenge. The primary objective of the Equipment Technology 21 Forum is for Singapore-based equipment makers and relevant players to learn about emerging technologies and business opportunities in equipment design and manufacturing from industry leaders and best practice. ET21 brings together industry, agencies and research institutes to explore the opportunities in pursuit of a competitive edge for Singapore’s equipment manufacturing sector.
Speakers include Mr Christophe de Lavigne, Global Vice President - Consulting Industrial Technologies, Frost & Sullivan, Dr XiaoQi Chen, Chairman, Precision Equipment Making Taskforce, Mr Simon Minderhoud, Senior Consultant on Innovation, Philips Centre for Industrial Technology, Dr Koh Yong Khiang, Vice President, Engineering, Engineering Development Centre, Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd and Mr Parag V.
