Micro Laser Welding

Micro laser welding is a non-contact fusion welding process which can create micro-scale joints. Due to its unique characteristics of high accuracy, high precision, good repeatability and less thermal damage, the process can be used for the applications which require good weld appearance, long term durability, bio-compatibility, strong and air-tight/hermetic joints.

Benefits

The micro laser welding system in SIMTech includes a 5-axis CNC workstation, a 400 W pulsed Nd:YAG laser source and a real-time vision system. The positioning accuracy and repeatability of the CNC is within 10 µm. Very precise micro-joints can be achieved using this system.
