Introduction:Dr Xue-Ming Yuan is a Research Scientist of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, National University of Singapore. He has held various academic positions in China, France, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has published a large number of scientific papers in the leading academic journals including IEEE Transactions, IIE Transactions, OR, EJOR, JAP, etc. He has been leading many research and industry projects in the areas of Demand Forecasting, Inventory Network Modelling and Optimization, Global Supply Chain Optimization and Management, Stochastic Models and Algorithms, and E-Commerce Fulfilment. His academic and industrial contributions and achievements have been included in Marquis Who’s Who in the World; Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
