Ng Teck Chew (Dr)
Principal Research Engineer II

Dr. Ng Teck Chew obtained his BEng and MSc in computer control and automation from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 1991 and 1997 respectively. He obtained his PhD (2009) from NTU. His thesis researched into the effect of sensor uncertainties for vehicle tracking and following. Prior to joining SIMTech in 1994, he has worked in a US automation company (AccuFab System) as an automation engineer. His duties include providing turkey solutions for hard disk drive assembly compines (Western Digital, Micropolis, Corner and MiniStor) and wafer fab company (HP). He was also a senior software engineer with Maxtor (disk drive company) where he worked on software solutions for hard disk drive reliability testing. Teck Chew has completed several projects serving the Aerospace, Marine and Defense industry. His research interest includes sensor fusion and intuitive robot programming in augmented reality environment.
