Introduction:Mr Tan Chak Huah has been involved in various research and industrial projects in the areas of networked supervisory control for material handling and manufacturing systems, shop floor track-and-trace using RFID & barcode technologies. He has experience in system modeling, database design, and resource allocation for discrete manufacturing execution systems.
His research team was awarded the 2003 IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award for their contribution to the implementation of a mission-critical self-recoverable cargo operation control system for SATS Airfreight Terminal 6 to promote Changi Airport as a international air cargo transshipment hub.
Research Interest:Networked supervisory control of material handling systems, event-driven dynamic resource management and allocation.
