Introduction:Dr Joo Byung Jun has much experience in Industrial Engineering field, in particular developing production planning and scheduling methodology. He has participated in many industry and research projects to optimize the design and operation of various production systems. Before joining Planning and Operations Management Group in SIMTech, he worked at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Production Research Institute of LG Electronics, and Korea Institute of Marine Science and Technology Promotion. He received his Ph.D. from Industrial Engineering department of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Daejeon, Korea and Master and Bachelor degrees from Industrial Engineering department of Hongik University, Seoul, Korea. His research interest includes production planning and scheduling, robust scheduling under uncertainty, real time dispatching for dynamic manufacturing systems, and modelling, simulation and analysis of production systems.
