Introduction:

Derrick Yong received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2011 and 2016 respectively. He was awarded the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) Graduate Scholarship in 2011, and was attached as a postgraduate student to the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), A*STAR. Since 2015, he has joined the Optics Team in SIMTech, A*STAR, as a Scientist.

Research Interest:Optical spectroscopy; Cell monitoring; Biological autofluorescence and Raman scattering; Machine learning methods for biological data
