REVIEW HIGH SPEED LASER WELDING AND ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING (45 HOURS)
We are revamping the full qualifications for the Graduate Diploma courses. Applicants can still sign up for the individual modules under the specialisations.
This module provides the participants with the fundamental knowledge on laser welding, laser cladding, modeling & simulation, as well as process monitoring & control. Furthermore, materials selection, metallurgy and welding processes linked with industrial applications are included in this module.
Participants will acquire knowledge and skills on different welding and cladding technologies based on high energy laser beam. They will also gain new insight and understanding on the effect of laser beam welding processes (laser beam welding, hybrid welding, laser cladding), welding defects, weld design, modeling & simulation and process monitoring & control, weldability of aluminium alloys, nickel base alloys, titanium alloys, stainless steels and Ni alloys. The course includes case studies and lab sessions to enhance the adoption of the technologies in the real production for the participants.
