Project management is a powerful tool and important skillset for many organisations. Projects can be launched to develop new products and services or technologies, and in implementing IT & other infrastructure etc. Project management ensures proper expectations are set around what can be delivered, by when, and at what operating cost to the organisation. Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge and essential skills in project management.During this course, key knowledge and skills within the process groups of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and closing will be covered. Some of the knowledge areas include risk management, stakeholder management, schedule management, resource management, change management and decision making. Through classroom practice, participants will learn to apply the techniques and tools for the processes in the knowledge areas.
This module covers the methods for planning, executing and managing projects for developing technology, products and processes. It teaches the applications of project planning tools and skills for managing uncertainties and disruptions in project activities. Human, financial and business factors that influence the conduct of projects will be considered and explored.
Electronic Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificates will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to participants who have attended and attained competency in the Singapore Skills Framework training modules.
