Assessing Resilience for Future-Proofing Supply Chains

(MASTERCLASS ON RESILIENT SUPPLY CHAINS)

Assessing Resilience for Future-Proofing Supply Chains

Introduction

The growing emphasis on building resilient supply chains reflects the necessity for businesses to establish strong supply chain systems in response to increasing uncertainty and global change. Due to the current uncertain global conditions resulting from the pandemic, geopolitical tensions, inflation, and climate change, the significance of resilient supply chains has significantly increased. However, many companies may lack the internal skills and knowledge needed to address this, such as data and information management for gathering and using data, planning and reviewing supply chain risk and resilience strategies, disruption risk analytics, and technology scanning skills, particularly related to supply chain resilience.

This masterclass aims to assist employees of companies in learning about supply chain resilience and developing a high-level plan to enhance their supply chain capability. Participants will receive an overview of current supply chain resilience trends and will be able to apply the acquired knowledge within a corporate environment. The programme spans 16 hours and is conducted over two consecutive days. Participants will be equipped to create a strategic action plan to enhance an organisation’s supply chain resilience.

The 2-day course is divided into four carefully structured sessions:
  • Session 1: Introducing the concept of resilience for future-proofing supply chains, including future-proofing supply chains in Industry 5.0, trends, challenges, and case studies from EU and worldwide perspectives.
  • Session 2: Teaching supply chain disruption risk and resilience assessment practises.
  • Session 3: Focusing on supply chain resilience assessment case studies.
  • Session 4: Covering hands-on practises for supply chain resilience assessment using Resilience+.

Who Should Attend

This masterclass is recommended for:
  • Top Management Officers: These leaders can drive organisational resilience initiatives. The training can equip them with the knowledge to integrate resilience in supply chain management and make data-driven decisions. It can also help them understand the importance of strategic planning and collaboration.
  • Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Risk Manager: These professionals can benefit from learning how to manage risk in supply chains. The training can help them identify risks, analyse their impact, and develop a risk management plan.
  • Supply Chain Manager/Executive: These individuals can learn how to strengthen supplier collaboration and relationships, create a resilient supply chain, and achieve end-to-end visibility.
  • Operation Manager/Executive: These professionals can benefit from understanding the critical elements of a secure supply chain and how different distribution and order management components can build resilience.
  • Production Manager/Executive: These individuals can learn how to balance resilience and efficiency to secure the network during a disruption. They can also discover how implementing sustainable practises can improve the strength of the supply chain.
  • Logistics & Warehouse Manager/Executive: These professionals can learn how to respond swiftly and effectively to unforeseen disruptions, maintain operational continuity, and safeguard revenue streams.
