Electronic textiles (e-textiles) are fabrics which enable embedding electronic components, such as conductive yarns, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers or computing devices to enhance their functionality as smart textile products. E-textiles have received intense research attention in the past years. Many novel and innovative ideas have been generated by combining textile with advanced functionality of electronic components for the comfort, aesthetics and ubiquity.

The global market of smart wearables is projected to reach USD 118 billion by 2028 from USD 48 billion in 2021, growing at a CAGR of 13.8% ¹. The rising interest in health and fitness monitoring as well as the increasing popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT) are anticipated to fuel the demand for smart wearables. Furthermore, experts expect that the global e-textiles market will demonstrate high growth potential over next few years.

Many e-textiles enabled smart wearables are used in our daily lives for biometric monitoring, heating, lighting, and others.   • Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) Holders
    The LTVP+ scheme applies to lawful foreign spouses of Singapore Citizens with (i) at least one Singapore Citizen child or are expecting one from the marriage, or at least three years of marriage, and (ii) where the Singapore Citizen sponsor is able to support the family.

    All LTVP+ holders can be identified with their green visit pass cards, with the word ‘PLUS’ printed on the back of the card.
