Trainers' profile

Professor Paul Murray

Professor Paul Murray is a leading scholar from the University of Strathclyde, UK, with over 100 academic publications across critical areas such as Image Processing, Video Processing, Hyperspectral Imaging, Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Operational Neural Networks (ONNs), Vision Transformers, Remote Visual Inspection, Super Resolution, Image Stitching, Image Segmentation, Data Classification, Compressive Sensing, and Feature Extraction. His remarkable expertise has led to the development of innovative solutions in signal, image, and video processing that cater to diverse application domains, including remote visual inspection, nuclear plant operations, advanced manufacturing, agri-tech, health-tech, and cultural heritage preservation. Dr Murray has also been instrumental in securing more than £7 million in research and industrial project funding, which has facilitated the creation of multiple software solutions now utilised on an industrial scale. He leads a team of highly skilled researchers who are pioneering cutting-edge data processing solutions, harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to drive advancements and deliver impactful results.

Dr Liu Tong

Dr Liu Tong is the Section Manager for X-ray and Image Processing and Principal Research Engineer with A*STAR SIMTech. He has more than 19 years of experience in researching and using X-ray 2D/CT imaging for industrial applications. Over the years, he has successfully commercialized several patented technologies, like X-ray CT reconstruction for planar objects, automated CT central-ray determination, compact stereovision head, and glass inclusion detection.

Dr Li Xiang Leon

Dr Li Xiang Leon is the Section Manager for Optical System with A*STAR SIMTech. His research areas include dimensional measurements, defect inspection by AI and image processing, interferometry, wavefront sensing, fibre sensor and bioimaging. His research outputs have been applied in sectors of semiconductor, precision engineering, construction and biomedical.

LONG TERM VISIT PASS PLUS (LTVP+) HOLDERS

  • The LTVP+ scheme applies to lawful foreign spouses of Singapore Citizens with (i) at least one Singapore Citizen child or are expecting one from the marriage, or at least three years of marriage, and (ii) where the Singapore Citizen sponsor is able to support the family.
  •  All LTVP+ holders can be identified with their green visit pass cards, with the word ‘PLUS’ printed on the back of the card.

SMEs that meet all of the following eligibility criteria:
