Supply Chain 4.0 Launched in Singapore to Integrate More Technology for Businesses

Singapore's new Supply Chain 4.0 Initiative was recently announced by Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat as part of a series of announcements made on the first day of the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (Itap) 2021 event, to integrate more technology to help smaller businesses deal with major future disruptions in product and service supply.

A*STAR launches S$18m Supply Chain 4.0 Initiative

Companies in Singapore are getting more support to deal with disruptions to their supply chains. A new initiative will develop tech solutions to improve the agility and resilience of their logistics networks. The Supply Chain 4.0 Initiative, led by A*STAR, pools S$18 million from public and private partners. The money will finance research over the next two years to test promising ideas at a designated facility.

Developed by Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), a unit of Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the solution helps manufacturers optimize supply network design to minimize disruption in supply and demand."
