Visit by Governor Deval Patrick, Governor of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Dr Tan Geok Leng- Executive Director of A*STAR’s Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC)- hosted Governor Deval Patrick- Governor of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and his delegation during his visit to Singapore. The delegation was on a trade mission to Asia which mainly focused on the innovation sectors of life sciences- clean and high technology.

Governor Patrick was given an overview of A*STAR and had a warm discussion on how A*STAR and the state of Massachusetts could further strengthen science and technology links with each other. The delegation’s visit ended off with a tour to the Fusionopolis skygarden- where Governor Patrick was given a bird’s-eye view of the developments in the One-North area.
