The Singapore 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) 2025 list honours women who have made significant contributions to Singapore’s tech industry and inspired others through their work and leadership.

This year, five outstanding women from A*STAR have been recognised for their excellence in technology, innovation, leadership, and community impact. Their journeys highlight scientific and technological innovations while encouraging more girls and women to pursue and advance their careers in technology.

The SG100WIT list is organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), in partnership with SG Women in Tech and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

"Every detail matters in measurement science. When I developed our automated calibration system, I wasn’t just improving efficiency—I was ensuring more reliable readings for safety standards and quality checks that affect everyday life.

As Singapore’s first WSQ-certified adult trainer in my field, I’m passionate about inspiring others to see how metrology underpins everything from the comfort of air-conditioning to the reliability of safety systems. This recognition motivates me to keep building bridges between precision science and real-world impact, ensuring Singapore remains a leader in measurement science and technical excellence."

"Being a leader isn’t just about personal growth—it’s about opening doors for others. This recognition reinforces that steady, responsible effort matters, and that we must celebrate not only the big victories but the small, quiet wins that build momentum.

What drives me most is bridging the ‘language gap’ between researchers and policymakers, because when brilliant science gets lost in translation, we all lose the chance for impact. My mission is to build a workforce that translates innovation into resilient policies and industries, ensuring breakthroughs become lasting solutions for Singapore and beyond."

Marie Therese Quieta

"Technology moves at breakneck speed, but every expert was once a beginner. This recognition reshaped how I view leadership—it’s not about being the smartest person in the room, but about creating spaces where trust and growth can flourish.

At CATOS, we show that Singapore’s true innovation power comes from uniting research, operations, policy, and communities to solve real challenges. I feel more accountable, not just for my own success, but for lifting my team so we can all achieve our highest potential together. Breakthroughs happen when we grow as one."

Leadership is lifting others to grow together.

"The advice I’d give my younger self—stay curious and never stop learning—still drives me today. Through my work bridging AI with material science, I hope the discoveries we make today will empower tomorrow’s innovators.

To me, true leadership in technology is not just about building better systems, but about creating innovations that lift society and spark imagination. This recognition fuels my vision of Singapore as a hub for cross-disciplinary AI innovation, where every breakthrough plants the seeds for tomorrow’s innovators to dream bigger, build further, and transform how we shape our world."

Stay curious and never stop learning beyond your comfort zone.

"I’ve always believed real breakthroughs happen at intersections—when we think ‘AI for X’ or ‘Tech for X’ across disciplines. This recognition reminds me that progress is most powerful when built together.

As an Early-Career Investigator, I collaborate with young researchers and industry partners to develop agentic AI systems that meet our needs. Our recent breakthrough in creating an autonomous workflow system is just the beginning. This award motivates me to keep advancing frontier AI technologies that amplify human potential while upholding safety and ethics.
