Singapore Tech Alumni Connect (STAC) Shanghai 2026

Organised A*STAR Global Network (A*GN) successfully hosted Singapore Tech Alumni Connect (STAC) Shanghai 2026 on 19 September 2026 at the Okura Garden Hotel, Shanghai. Hosted by Ng Choon-Peng, President of A*STAR Global Network, the event brought together members for an evening of meaningful conversations, new connections and knowledge sharing.

The event welcomed close to 50 participants from diverse backgrounds, including A*STAR alumni, alumni of Singapore universities based in China, entrepreneurs, venture capital professionals, private investors, family offices, researchers and industry leaders. The strong turnout reflected the growing interest in building stronger connections across Singapore's innovation community beyond our shores.

During the session, participants exchanged perspectives on innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialisation and cross-border collaboration opportunities between Singapore and China. Networking discussions highlighted a shared interest in staying connected to Singapore's research and innovation ecosystem, while investors and entrepreneurs explored opportunities to engage with emerging technologies, research partnerships and future ventures.

As A*GN continues to grow its global alumni community, initiatives such as STAC play an important role in fostering lasting relationships, encouraging collaboration and creating opportunities for alumni and partners to contribute to Singapore's innovation ecosystem worldwide.
