Singapore Airlines Unveils Partnerships with Government Agencies at Launch of its Digital Innovation Blueprint

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has embarked on its innovation and digitalisation journey with the launch of its Digital Innovation Blueprint. It also unveiled key bilateral partnerships with Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Economic Development Board (EDB) and National University of Singapore (NUS).

A*STAR’s collaboration with SIA supports the airline’s efforts to boost its capabilities in digital aviation, and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in the aviation and travel industry. SIA is working with A*STAR on technologies that predict when critical parts of an aircraft need to be fixed or replaced, thus reducing the plane’s downtime. SIA’s adoption of A*STAR technologies will help lower maintenance costs, decrease aircraft delays and aid the airline in maintaining its service standards. Work has started on A-380 aircraft parts, and that will be progressively extended to other aircraft types in SIA's fleet.
