    EMBO Global Investigator 2023

Dr Chen Jinmiao, Principal Investigator at A*STAR’s Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), is one of 10 researchers who have been selected as new EMBO Global Investigators this year. She joins an international network of more than 700 current and former EMBO Young Investigators, Installation Grantees and Global Investigators.

A computational biologist with background in spatial and single-cell omics analysis and AI, Dr Chen studies precision immunology to investigate the intricate details of the immune system at a personalised level. She works closely with her team to leverage AI to analyse the microenvironment of tumour cells to understand their heterogeneity, with the goal of advancing the development of therapeutics that can effectively target the malignant cells within the tumour.

EMBO is an international organisation of life scientists and global Investigators are provided with opportunities to form collaborations with scientists in their region and in Europe. Election as an EMBO Member recognises a scientist’s research excellence and outstanding achievements.
