Minister for Finance- Mr Heng Swee Keat- visited A*STAR’s Clinical Nutrition Research Centre (CNRC) today- 29 April 2016. CNRC is a joint centre set up by A*STAR and National University Health Systems (NUHS). It is the first centre in Asia to have under-one-roof capabilities to perform research across the food chain and at all levels from the cellular level to whole-body nutrition. The centre is also fully-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to conduct its nutritional studies. https://www.a-star.edu.sg/cnrc Recognising the growth potential of Food and Nutrition research- A*STAR has focused on building strong capabilities relevant to this sector- so as to address national needs for Singapore’s ageing population and the rising incidence of food-related illnesses such as diabetes and metabolic diseases.
