    Visit by Ambassador José Beraun- Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru

    Ambassador José Beraun visited Singapore as part of his South East Asian tour.  The Vice Minister led a 4-member delegation visited A*STAR in Biopolis and was hosted by Dr Lim Khiang Wee- ED A*GA.  Minister Beraun was particularly interested in Singapore’s S&T strategy and our efforts in developing and attracting S&T talent.  He shared that while Peruvian economy has turned around in recent times- its investment in education and S&T were still behind many countries in the region.  Dr Lim shared the SINGA- SIPGA and ARAP programmes.  Vice Minister Beraun expressed interest in partnering Singapore for S&T and would like to link A*STAR up with Peruvian universities for researcher exchange programmes.
