    Dato Paduka Ali Apong was in Singapore under the MFA Distinguished Visitors Programme.  As part of his visit programme to A*STAR- he was given a brief on how A*STAR prioritise and promote commercial application of R&D.   Dato Ali Apong was also the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Development- Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Finance.  He had spent 20 years at the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA).  During the visit- he held open discussion with A*STAR Chairman on talent development and technology commercialisation.  Later- he was given a tour of FusionWorld.
