Visit by Dr Hervé Bernard, Deputy Chairman of the French Atomic and Renewable Energy Commission (CEA)

Dr Hervé Bernard visited A*STAR on his first official trip to Singapore hosted by A*STAR Managing Director Prof Low Teck Seng- on November 28- 2011. He appreciated Singapore’s concerted efforts between the various ministries and agencies in promoting R&D- leading to economic and societal outcome. Dr Bernard also shared recent developments in CEA including its focus on research in low-carbon energy- information-Health Technologies- as well as Defence and Global Security. Dr Bernard was accompanied by Dr Walid Benzarti from the French Embassy and had also visited IPAL- the Image and Pervasive Access Lab – a collaboration between Singapore and France- before visiting A*STAR.
