    Visit by Her Excellency Mrs Theresia Bauer- Minister of Science- Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg- Germany

    Her Excellency Mrs Theresia Bauer- Minister of Science- Research and the Arts from Baden-Württemberg- Germany led a 5-member delegation visited A*STAR on Monday 2 July 2012. She was hosted by Executive Director of the Science and Engineering Research Council- Dr Raj Thampuran and representatives from the Councils. H.E. Bauer was in Singapore to promote S&T collaboration and researcher exchanges with research organisations in the Baden-Württemberg region. It was reported that Baden-Württemberg- a key R&D cluster in Germany- invests about 4.4% of its GDP on R&D. After the discussion- the German delegates were led on a walking tour of the Fusionopolis Skygarden and the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) as part of their visit programme.
