    Visit by His Excellency Mr Rowland Espinoza- Vice Minister of Telecommunications- Costa Rica

    Vice Minister Espinoza called on A*STAR Chairman- accompanied by the Costa Rican Ambassador His Excellency Mr Jairo Hernandez.  Bilateral ties are warm with Singapore and Costa Rica just signed a Free Trade Agreement.  On the science and technology front- Singapore welcomes Costa Rican students to apply the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) and the Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA).  Vice Minister Espinoza also invited Singaporean students to the World Youth Summit organised by the International Telecommunications Union to be held in San Jose- Costa Rica on 9 – 11 September 2013.
