    Prof Lye Kin Mun- Deputy Executive Director of the Science and Engineering Research Council welcomed the 6-member Indian delegation from the Department of Science and Technology led by Dr Arabinda Mitra- Adviser and Head for International Cooperation- when they visited A*STAR on Friday 3 August 2012.  Both also co-chaired the inaugural Singapore-India Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology Cooperation.  An MOU on the Programme of Cooperation was later signed between Dr Mitra and A*STAR MD Dr Raj Thampuran.  During their visit- the delegates also visited IMRE- BII and IBN as well as held discussions with NUS and NTU.  A*STAR and DST will drive greater S&T cooperation between the two countries with joint workshops and joint grant calls in the pipeline.
