Visit by Mr Toshiaki Endo- Acting Secretary-General of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party hosted by A*STAR Chairman Lim Chuan Poh

Mr Toshiaki Endo visited A*STAR for the first time having last visited Singapore almost 30 years ago.  He was in Singapore to learn about S&T policies in education and held candid exchanges with A*STAR Chairman.  Accompanied by Embassy staff and Director RIKEN- Mr Endo was given a tour of the Biopolis Shared Facilities and the Fusionopolis Sky Garden.  He was impressed with the rapid development in one-north and the strong presence of international R&D companies in Singapore.  He concluded the visit by giving his strong support for more bilateral S&T cooperation between Japan and Singapore.
