    Visit by State Councillor Beat Vonlanthen- Minister of Economic Affairs of the State of Fribourg- Switzerland

    State Councillor Beat Vonlanthen- Minister of Economic Affairs of the State of Fribourg- Switzerland visited A*STAR on 9 May 2013 and was hosted by A*STAR Chairman Mr Lim Chuan Poh. The State Councillor was visiting Singapore to better understand the local entrepreneurship and innovation scene- and meet with local academic institutions. He led a 7-member delegation comprising representatives from the Fribourg Development Agency- University of Fribourg and University of Applied Sciences HES-SO. The meeting at A*STAR saw a discussion on Fribourg’s blueFACTORY project and possible areas for cooperation between A*STAR and the Swiss Canton of Fribourg. While at A*STAR- the Swiss delegation also had the opportunity to visit the FusionWorld Gallery.
