    Visit by the Honourable Emily Lau- Hong Kong Legislative Councillor

    A Hong Kong delegation led by the Honourable Emily Lau- Member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council- visited A*STAR on 30 September 2011. The delegation was in Singapore for a fact-finding trip- and were keen to learn about Singapore’s research landscape- government policies for research and development- and funding mechanisms at A*STAR and other key funding agencies. The delegation was hosted by Mr Lim Chuan Poh- A*STAR Chairman and Dr Raj. Thampuran- Executive Director of the Science and Engineering Research Council- and had the opportunity to visit the FusionWorld Gallery- the Institute of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology (IBN) and Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE).
