    An 8-member delegation from the National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI) from Thailand visited A*STAR on 10-11 Feb 2011. Led by its Sec-Gen Dr Pichet Durongkaveroj and Deputy Sec-Gen Dr Yada Mukdapitak- and hosted by A*STAR Managing Director Prof Low. The delegates were given briefs on A*STAR and introduced the planning activities leading up to the RIE2015 and STEP2015. The Thai visitors also toured research institutes (IMCB- IBN- IMRE and IME) and held discussions with ETPL. STI is a new organisation that is responsible for the national STI policy in Thailand coordinating between various ministries.
