Visit by Yang Jianzhong- Deputy Secretary of the Suzhou Industrial Park CPC Working Committee and Vice Chairman of Suzhou Industrial Park Administration Committee

Mr Bernard Teo- General manager China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co Ltd; Mr Teoh Yong Sea- Deputy Managing Director A*STAR; Mr Yang Jianzhong- Deputy Secretary of SIP CPC Working Committee and Vice Chairman of SIPAC; and Mr Louis Lu- Deputy Director Economic & Trade Development Bureau SIPAC.

Mr Yang was in Singapore as part of a training programme for officials from the Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee (SIPAC)- on June 29- 2011. Having heard much about A*STAR and the Biopolis and Fusionopolis campuses- he was interested to visit and have a first-hand appreciation of the development in one-north. Mr Yang’s visit was hosted by A*STAR Deputy Managing Director Mr Teoh Yong Sea. After an in-depth discussion on recent developments including Singapore’s efforts in industry-linked R&D- Mr Yang was given a tour of StarHome and was briefed on some of the ongoing research projects.
