INFLAMMATORY SKIN DISEASES

Skin Inflammatory Diseases

Inflammatory skin diseases are classified as autoimmune diseases or auto-inflammatory syndromes which cause activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines.  Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is a common inflammatory skin condition characterized by itchy dry or swollen red or brown patches, making the skin susceptible to infections.

A*SRL’s Inflammatory Skin Diseases programme aims to understand the complexity of such conditions through a multidisciplinary approach. We have engaged the medical and research communities globally to collect comprehensive data on the epidemiology and disease burden. With this we aim to better understand the pathogenesis and develop innovative solutions for diagnostics and treatments.
