Singapore 100 Women in Tech 2023
The Singapore 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) 2023 list celebrates women who have made significant contributions to tech in Singapore.
This year's theme, "Empowering yourselves, inspiring others," spotlights role models who are driving a more inclusive digital economy and nurturing tech talent.
Join us to congratulate the nine remarkable women from A*STAR who have demonstrated excellence in technology, innovation, leadership and community impact. Hear about how they have inspired girls and women to pursue or advance their careers in technology.
The Singapore 100 Women in Tech List is organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), in partnership with SG Women in Tech and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

“The essence of my work lies in creating meaningful projects that contribute to Singapore’s economy and benefit people's well-being. The exciting part of my work is when we demonstrate the developed measurement solutions for industrial use in an actual working environment, and the end-users recognise the impact. It shows the value of our work in translating measurement knowledge into economic and social benefits.
I embody the role of a dedicated researcher, fuelled by unrelenting curiosity and a fearless spirit to venture into unchartered territory, paving the way for exploration.”
Division Head

“As a researcher, few things are as rewarding as translating our discoveries into a research paper for publication in a top-tier journal. It is most satisfying to see the impact of our studies in critical areas like the state of mental well-being during the pandemic and how they contribute to a better environment for everyone.
This award holds profound significance for me, a testament made possible through the support of an encouraging supervisor and collaborative colleagues.”
Division Head
Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), A*STAR
"Having the opportunity to step into my workplace each day and collaborate with brilliant engineers, scientists and clinicians is a privilege I hold dear. My goal is to drive and support research that transform discoveries into solutions that impact people’s lives.
I also aim to be a role model for young aspiring female scientists, encouraging them to pursue their dreams."
Scientist
Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), A*STAR
“Deep tech has the potential to be a catalyst to drive transformation, advancing the boundaries of what is achievable. As a researcher delving into deep technologies, I aspire to forge a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector, employing cutting-edge technologies that cut disciplinary boundaries. I hope to be a role model for aspiring women researchers and scientists through these actions.
While strides have been made, gender biases persist. Overcoming these challenges demands concerted effort. Confidence and an up-to-date understanding of the current landscape serve as my key defence.”
Senior Scientist, Visual Intelligence
