Besides new and alternative sources of proteins such as insect and plant protein, we have also seen new technologies and developments within the high-tech aquaculture and cultured meat space that address some of these vulnerabilities and present opportunities for a thriving innovation ecosystem. This segment invites key industry players to share about their perspectives on conventional and unconventional protein sources, new technologies and strategies in strengthening food security, sustainability and challenges within their respective field.

Biomanufacturing 4.0 is a recent concept of adapting Industry 4.0 innovations to biologics manufacturing process with the potential to maximise the product quality, safety and process cost-efficiency. The panel will dive directly into discussions on real-world challenges, considerations and opportunities of implementing biomanufacturing 4.0 technologies in areas such as on-line/in-line quality attribute monitoring, adaptive process control and real-time product release. .
